Pixel Pusher Texture Contest
As a community can we come up with an contest for texturing?
I think a monthly contest would be a great thing. What do you think?
1. Should the contest be monthly?
2. What should the credit prize amount be?
3. Should we have a community prize pool? As in we donate towards the prize for that month?
4. Should it be one person wins?
5. Would anyone be willing to promote the winner in thier advertisement for IMVU webpages, magazines, etc?
6. Who has meshes they would like to contribute to the contest?

-Makes grabby hands at this post.-
I like the idea of this for sure, would be willing to help where I can, if I can. I don't mesh, nor do I have much of a sum to add to a prize but would be willing to help where I can. But, mainly this is something I would 100% take part in.

Re: Pixel Pusher Texture Contest
I have just recently uploaded a crap ton of meshes on my DrHarleyQuinn Account that i have just bought of Delure
I would happily allow them to be used in the contest...
i might not be able to donate much credits but i can try and give some if needed...
I think there should be a 3 Winners a 1st/2nd/3rd and Runners up who deserve a mention as there textures were awesome...
Couldn't we speak to Gaf and see if he be willing to advertise on his site or offer up some of his AdPlan??

Re: Pixel Pusher Texture Contest
1. Should the contest be monthly?
Monthly... sure, depends on the extent of the contest.
For example, if you're simply texturing a single item (room), I think a month is a decent amount of time.
However if you asked for an entire room set (room + 6 extra items), I think more time would be needed.
2. What should the credit prize amount be?
Varies. I think submission fees + prize should be a thing, tho.
3. Should we have a community prize pool? As in we donate towards the prize for that month?
I don't see that being a problem.
4. Should it be one person wins?
I think there should be up to three places, with mentions!
Maybe for certain contests it could be winner take all.
5. Would anyone be willing to promote the winner in thier advertisement for IMVU webpages, magazines, etc?
Well the only way I could personally advertise anyone would be to either wear their creation, make an outfit with it, or a bundle with it.
My homepage is pretty obsolete, at least to me.
6. Who has meshes they would like to contribute to the contest?
I wouldn't mind contributing my meshes to the contest! (If they at all fit whatever theme/criteria)

Re: Pixel Pusher Texture Contest
1. Should the contest be monthly?
Contests are fun! So Yes
2. What should the credit prize amount be?
No cooking clue really, I guess anything goes
3. Should we have a community prize pool? As in we donate towards the prize for that month?
You could or maybe set up a sponsor thing? I'll sponsor or donate, but maybe also participate in the contests whenever I'm able to
4. Should it be one person wins?
It would be nicer for the people who are part of the contest if there are more winners
5. Would anyone be willing to promote the winner in thier advertisement for IMVU webpages, magazines, etc?
Yes ♥
6. Who has meshes they would like to contribute to the contest?
I have a lot of meshes on my account 0mag: http://www.imvu.com/shop/web_search.php ... d=93759670 and will pay the submission fees if any of those meshes are chosen

Re: Pixel Pusher Texture Contest
So far lots of great answers. I hope more people in the community join in. I think that I will try to actually get a plan in place sometime in July. That way more people have time to answer this forum post.

I have been having medical issues and haven't been able to do this yet. Hope that I can get this going before December.

Re: Pixel Pusher Texture Contest
So this was a big fail on my part. Looks like I wont be able to make a contest happen.
