Happened to my friends.
Person A made a exclusive Item for Person B and kept it on display only.
Person C spins the Wheel and wins the custom Product created by Person A for Person B.

So do they just randomly pick any item from the shop to gift to you? Even if it is an exclusive skin priced at 15k or even 100k? And do they not ask the developers who made the products first about if they want their stuff to just be given away or not?

This is awful and completely unfair to developers who have made product requests and to users who have paid for those requests. Seriously, wth IMVU...

I'm not surprised. IMVU likes to do the quickest way of completing projects. What I think is that since you agreed to thier TOS, IMVU feels they can take whatever they want.

Adding in now that if someone doesn't have a wishlist it should be predits or better yet credit prizes .
Also that those who were rewarded display or hidden items they should be taken away

If users can win exclusive customs from the daily spin, what stops them from accidentally winning products that have no textures, are broken or UFI?

I'm not sure which would be a worse surprise to a 13 year old girl that has been on IMVU for 3 days, getting a wire map body suit mesh or UFI products.

IMVU does need to change this, as, it is not against the rules of IMVU if I found someone won one of my custom products that I had made for someone specific, it would for sure get changed to something basic, and I would reupload the custom and deliver it to the rightful owner. I had thought maybe just blocking the entire product out, but, that would kinda be punishing someone who won, and not IMVU, but the item for sure would be changed to something basic.

That is a good idea and not to take away from it at all just to say here that some creators aren't even around anymore and others poor that may not be able to afford doing that .

PS I also read at my topic someone said all the stuff they win , that they do not even want . .
So . . . when they try to delete it or hide it , they can't . It just keeps coming back in their list/s .

It might be a true test of their discussion board to see if it gets handled appropriately for the issue this is.

i really hate the direction that imvu is going... they are not thinking they are rushing into things setting things up half-heartedly with no thought to any of the consequences or what backlash they would get...

i mean haven't they learned the basic thing of manners...

We've been screaming at them for years telling them we're sick of them pushing things on us and we want to be asked things and kept informed on whats happening....

But oh yes i forgot we're just cogs in there machine here to do there dirty work while they sit there and have there fancy massages while watching the interest go up on our MASA cash flow thats in there bank and laughing knowing that they have control over us and theres fuck all we can do about it...

This is so incredibly disrespectful to creators that I really want to be shocked. But considering it's IMVU, I'm having a hard time doing that. I've developed such a blasé attitude toward IMVU's increasingly arrogant improprieties that, frankly, I'm more shocked by my lack of reaction than their nonsense.

That said, this disquiets me. People hide products for a reason, and it's no one but the creator's business why that is. Regardless of whether it's an exclusive project, an old product they don't want visible in their shop, a duplicate, or anything else, IMVU has absolutely no right to not only steal from them by giving away their product without permission, but violate their privacy as well.

I stopped creating publicly in protest to IMVU. I still create, because it's good practice in what I hope to do for a living, and I enjoy it, but I started hiding all of my new products to reduce IMVU's revenue through me. Now, it seems, not even my hidden products can truly be hidden. Shameful.

as others noted that non-AP users are probably winning AP items , Perhaps not and to note I do have AP but . .
Knowing IMVU they probably do give similar items to anyone .
